CIA Youth Group

The ‘CIA youth group is an informal meeting open to teenagers aged 14+ (year 10 and above). We meet at The Cellar, St Mary’s Hawkshaw on a Monday at 7:30-9pm during term time.

The aim of the group is to provide a safe, relaxed, and fun environment in which we can chat comfortably and explore issues that are important to us, taking guidance from our Christian faith to help us along the way. You won’t find anything too heavy here – just a  chilled out place to talk about whatever’s on your mind, and ask any questions you want.

There is no fixed running order to the youth group – we get together, have a brew, eat pizza and cake, play on the pool table, air hockey, table tennis table, table football, play games in the church or football outside in the school playground. What we talk about is up to the guest speaker who comes and speaks to youth group for 20 mins at the end. What’s important to us is that young people feel empowered by God’s love.

The youth group is run by Danny our qualified church youth worker and team of DBS checked Volunteers.

We’d love to see you there!
